Process Support Products Sales Manager
PCBA production has relentlessly encompassed
ever smaller device structures. This has presented numerous challenges
to those who must actually produce products in a commercially viable
manner. Pre-eminent in that is the challenge related to solder joint
formation using stencil printing of solder paste. As device structures
have gotten ever smaller, area aspect ratio has now moved from the theoretical
in a lab to it is now a very real challenge on the production line.
In this presentation we will look at practical steps that can and indeed
must be taken to overcome this challenge.
Jim has worked in the SMT Market since
its inception. His specialty is SMT process automation, machines, materials
and software for implementation into production processes. Since joining
DEK in 2011, he has worked exclusively on SMT printing processes, keying
in on printing challenges that involve mixed component assemblies incorporating
miniaturized components and the area aperture ratios those generate.
